Deputy Prime Minister Tajani visits the Salone del Mobile in Milan

Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Antonio Tajani is in Milan today for the closing of the 62nd edition of the Salone del Mobile, an internationally renowned event celebrating the excellence of Italian design and furniture. He is scheduled to arrive at the fair at 1 p.m.

“The wood-furniture sector represents a fundamental pillar for the promotion of Italy in the world,” commented the Deputy Prime Minister, who noted how “the art and craftsmanship of Italian designers and architects confer to Made-in-Italy furnishing products the unmistakable quality and style that render them recognisable and appreciated all over the world.”

During his visit, Tajani will meet representatives of the design and furniture industry and tour the stands of some of the companies present at the exhibition.
