Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Antonio Tajani will be presenting the priorities of the G7 Trade Ministers’ Meeting, to be held in Villa San Giovanni, Reggio Calabria, on 16 and 17 July, at a press conference in the Aldo Moro Room at the Farnesina.

The Trade Ministers’ Meeting will address four priority issues chosen by the Italian G7 Presidency: strengthening the multilateral trading system by reforming the World Trade Organization; ensuring a level playing field in global markets; encouraging environmental sustainability in trade; and improving economic resilience and security.

Italy’s objective is that free trade and the principles established by the World Trade Organization remain the building blocks of global economic prosperity, which is also fundamental for Italy’s economic development, given the Country’s focus on exports. With this in mind, the President of ITA, Matteo Zoppas, is also scheduled to speak at the press conference to illustrate some data on Italian exports.
