Undersecretary Tripodi meets with the Ambassador of Peru

Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Maria Tripodi, met with Manuel Cacho-Sousa, the Ambassador of Peru to Italy, at the Farnesina. During the meeting, they reaffirmed the importance of strengthening the relationship between Italy and Peru, with a shared commitment to enhancing ties in various areas of mutual interest. Both highlighted the need to jointly address global challenges and coordinate on regional crises, in a spirit of increasing collaboration and solidarity, including through the reactivation of the Bilateral Political Consultations Mechanism. These consultations will take place in Lima from 18 to 20 September, coinciding with Undersecretary Tripodi’s upcoming mission to Peru.
