Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani will be in Belgrade tomorrow on a mission to attend the Italy-Serbia Business Forum. As part of the visit, the Minister will meet with the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, and the Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Marko Đurić.
The Business Forum, following the one held in Trieste in 2024, aims to enhance new opportunities for economic cooperation between Italy and Serbia, particularly in high-tech sectors, with a focus on energy transition, agritech, and Industry 5.0. The participation of over 400 Italian and Serbian companies in the event reflects the growing interest in strengthening ties between the Italian and Serbian markets. The Forum with businesses is part of Italy’s growth diplomacy strategy. In this context, the Italian Government is paying close attention to the Balkans, a key region for the stability of the entire continent and a strategic priority for the European Union as a whole.
Economic cooperation between Rome and Belgrade is a regional success story. This is evidenced above all by trade figures, which recorded an increase of over 9% in the first ten months of 2024, highlighting the strong economic relations between the two countries.
