Tajani, Piantedosi and Nordio to chair tomorrow’s International Anti-Corruption Coordination Table Dialogue with the Government of Mexico

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonio Tajani, the Minister of the Interior, Matteo Piantedosi, the Minister of Justice, Carlo Nordio and the President of the National Anti-Corruption Authority, Giuseppe Busia, will tomorrow, 14 November, chair the Interinstitutional International Anti-Corruption Coordination Table at the Italian Police Academy.

Established in 2016 and coordinated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Table will be chaired this year, for the first time, by three Ministers. An international delegation from Mexico will attend, including Vania Pérez Morales, President of the Sistema Nacional Anticorrupción, and María de la Luz Mijangos Borja, Anti-Corruption Prosecutor. A dedicated working session will focus on opportunities for cooperation between the international anti-corruption coordination systems of Italy and Mexico.

Discussions will also address Italy’s participation in key multilateral fora responsible for the prevention and fight against international corruption – including the G20 Anti-Corruption Ministerial, the OECD Anti-Corruption Working Group, and the UNCAC Conference of the Parties – as well as the progress of Italian and European programmes in justice and security, notably the Falcone-Borsellino Programme, El PacCTO 2.0, EUROFRONT, and COPOLAD 3.

The initiative serves as a permanent platform for consultation and information exchange among all participants, including institutions, private sector representatives, and civil society, aimed at strengthening Italy’s role in multilateral fora, enhancing its institutional presence, and ensuring ongoing compliance with international rules and guidelines.
