Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani attends the ceremony for the 212th anniversary of the Founding of the Carabinieri Corps, scheduled at 10.30 am in Piazza Émile Chanoux in Aosta.
The Carabinieri Corps play a key role in ensuring the security of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) and of Italy’s diplomatic and consular network around the world. Through the MAECI Carabinieri Command, comprising 137 officers, and an overseas network of 361 Carabinieri stationed at 221 offices across 127 countries, the Carabinieri Corps contribute to the protection of Italian representatives and the support of diplomatic activities.
