The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonio Tajani, will take part today at 8 p.m. to the presentation of Mario Giro’s new book Pace in tempo di guerra (Peace in time of War), dialoguing with Andrea Riccardi, President of the Dante Alighieri Society, Mons. Luigi Vari, Archbishop of Gaeta, Marco Impagliazzo, President of the Community of Sant’Egidio, and Rosario Carello, Vatican journalist for Tg2.
The presentation focuses on the role of dialogue in the search for peace in international crisis scenarios, from the war in Ukraine, the conflict in the Middle East and the humanitarian crisis in Sudan.
During the event, the Minister will reaffirm Italy’s commitment to promoting diplomacy and negotiation as essential instruments for dealing with conflicts and fostering concrete paths to peace. At the heart of the action is also the need to keep diplomatic channels open and support confrontation between all parties, promoting de-escalation efforts and the search for possible political solutions in different crisis contexts.
