The exhibition “Geometry of Enchantment. Fragments of Italian Beauty” is a collection of fifty images by Valerio Corzani. Inaugurated on 25 September, it will be on display at the Italian Cultural Institute of Lyon until 21 November.
The aim of the exhibition is to document beauty through geometric forms, uncovering perimeter affinities and transforming landscapes or details into something unexpected through this perspective, a “poetics of the gaze“. The result is a mapping of glimpses of Italian cities and landscapes.
Valerio Corzani is a photographer, journalist, author, radio presenter, musician, and globetrotter. He is one of the most recognisable voices of Radio3 Rai and Swiss Italian Radio, and writes for Il Manifesto, Alias, Lonely Planet, Blogfoolk, and Exibart. As a musician, he has performed and recorded in numerous projects, including Mau Mau, Mazapegul, Daunbailò, Interiors, Caracas, Teresa De Sio, Luigi Cinque, and Shuttle.
