“Reclaiming post-industrial futures” is an artist residency project conceived and developed by EUNIC Romania, the European network of national cultural institutes and organisations, comprising 39 members from all EU Member States and associated countries. The project involves eight institutions operating in Romania: the British Council, the Czech Centre, the Embassy of the Netherlands, the French Institute in Romania, the Italian Cultural Institute of Bucharest, the Cervantes Institute, the Polish Institute, and Fundația9.
With the support of the Italian Cultural Institute of Bucharest, applications are now open for an artistic residency in the town of Câmpina, in the Muntenia region, home to the historic Steaua Română refinery. This is a unique opportunity to engage with local communities in reflecting on the future of these spaces and their urban and social heritage.
All information about the project and how to apply is available on the website of the Italian Cultural Institute of Bucharest:
The application deadline is 27 April 2025.
