The 40th edition of the “Hong Kong International Jewellery Show” trade fair opened in Hong Kong – a reference event in the sector, together with the one dedicated to diamonds and precious stones that takes place on the same days. It is the most important trade fair dedicated to jewellery in Asia, which this year features over 4,000 exhibitors from 44 countries. Italy is taking part in the event with the largest European Country Pavilion. Within an area of more than 1,000 square metres, the Italian collective put together by ICE brings together 115 companies that attest to the presence of more than 140 national companies, mainly from the traditional production districts of Arezzo, Vicenza, Valenza, Torre del Greco and Marcianise, together with independent exhibitors. For the first time, a number of companies from Sardinia have joined.
“Italy is starring at the Hong Kong jewellery fair with a conspicuous, qualified delegation featuring the best Made in Italy jewellery producers. Hong Kong confirms itself as a market of great interest for the Italian jewellery sector, establishing itself as one of the main export destination platforms. From Hong Kong, small and medium-sized Italian companies can take advantage of the distribution networks and reception capacities of the local market to reach other markets in the area, as well as seize the opportunity to establish contacts with international interlocutors”, said the Ambassador of Italy in the People’s Republic of China, Massimo Ambrosetti, who was present at the Hong Kong fair.
