At 11.30 a.m. today, the signing ceremony for the Agreement between the Italian Trade Agency (ICE) and the Alibaba Group was held, in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Luigi Di Maio, and ICE President, Carlo Ferro. The agreement relates to setting up the first Made in Italy showcase for B2B e-commerce on the Alibaba.com marketplace.
In his address, Minister Di Maio pointed out that this is “a new generation agreement: giving rise to a pavilion dedicated to Italian products, in which traditional virtual showcases set out for consumers, will be combined with a completely new component, intended to put economic operators in contact with one another. Thanks to these digital services, our products will be put on one of the largest marketplaces in the world”.
