The purpose of the event was for Executive VP Dombrovskis to present the Communication on the European trade policy review, published on 18 February.
The text of the Communication is available at the following link.
Reflecting the concept of open strategic autonomy, the new European trade strategy builds on the EU’s openness to contribute to economic recovery by supporting green and digital transformation, as well as a renewed focus on strengthening multilateralism and reforming global trade rules to ensure they are fair and sustainable. Where necessary, the EU will take a more assertive stance in defending its interests and values, also through the use of new instruments.
The event will provide an opportunity for participants to engage in a dialogue with Executive Vice-President Dombrovskis.
