Niger. Cooperazione Italiana supplies medicines and health kits

As a response to the ongoing health crisis in Niger, the Foreign Ministry, at the behest of Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Hon. Marina Sereni, ordered the delivery of about 6 tonnes of medicines and medical health material from Cooperazione Italiana, stored at the United Nations Humanitarian Response Depot (UNHRD) in Brindisi. Air transportation of the material was carried out, thanks to the cooperation of the Defence Ministry’s Inter-Forces High Command, by means of an Italian Air Force C-130 flight, which took off this afternoon from the Brindisi military base, headed for Niamey. At the destination, the cargo will be taken in hand by the Nigerien Health Ministry.
