The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Italian Trade Agency – ICE and Confindustria are organising the “Italy-Uzbekistan Business Forum”.
The event will be held at the headquarters of Confindustria (via dell’Astronomia, 30) in Rome on 6 June 2023, starting at 9:30 a.m., and will include an institutional session followed by presentations focused on opportunities for trade, industrial partnerships and investments between the two countries, with particular attention to the energy, infrastructure and transport, industrial technology and agro-industry sectors. At the end of the plenary session, B2B meetings between Italian and Uzbek companies will be organised.
The initiative is aimed at further strengthening Italy’s economic relations with Uzbekistan, the most populated country in the region and one with a constantly growing GDP since 1996. Trade interchange grew by 32% last year (reaching EUR 535.4 million) with Italian exports playing a preponderant role, making Italy the Central Asian country’s 2nd European trading partner in 2022.
