Prompted by Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani, the Chief of the Crisis Unit at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nicola Minasi, signed an agreement with Paola Angeletti, Chief Operating Officer of Intesa San Paolo SpA, to strengthen cooperation on the safety of Italian workers abroad.

This agreement was born out of the growing cooperation between the Crisis Unit and the business world, aimed at promoting the use of the institutional websites www.viaggiaresicuri.it and www.dovesiamonelmondo.it, as well as the “Unità di Crisi” APP, so as to encourage companies to register the movements of their personnel abroad and thus facilitate the implementation of safety protocols.

Recent events (the earthquake in Morocco as well as the crisis in Israel and Gaza) have confirmed the importance of unambiguous communication and immediate interaction between the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the companies’ security experts with a view to tailoring the Crisis Unit’s assistance to specific needs.

The primary objective is to help disseminate a culture of prevention and corporate security also when travelling abroad. This can be achieved by integrating corporate information systems with the Crisis Unit’s systems.
