Please be reminded that the Ninth Conference of Foreign Ministers of the Western Mediterranean Dialogue (5+5), followed by the FOROMED meeting, will be held on Monday 20 February 2012 in Rome (Villa Madama).


The 5+5, to be co-chaired by Italian Foreign Minister Giulio Terzi di Sant’Agata and his Tunisian counterpart Rafik Ben Abdessalem, will focus on regional relations.


The day’s agenda will include the following press moments:

Family photo and round table at the start of the 5+5 sessions (09:45) Press conference with the co-chairs (approx. 13:00) Family photo and round table at the start of the FOROMED sessions(approx. 14:45)

 


Journalists and camera operators interested in covering the event are asked to apply for accreditation by completing the interactive form available at the link http://mae.accreditationsystem.info/ITA/Indice.asp to which all required documentation can be attached in digital format.


If in exceptional cases it is not possible to complete the online accreditation procedure, applications in writing on company letterhead and signed by the director of the organisation concerned—indicating name, surname, date and place of birth, number of a valid ID document and qualification—should be sent by fax to the Press Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (tel. 063691.3432 fax 06.3691.2122).


Accreditation badges are to be collected in person on Monday, 20 February at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – rear entrance in Via Macchia della Farnesina – according to the following schedule:

Photographers and TV crews from 08:15 to 9:00 (for family photo and round table 5+5); Journalists, photographers and TV crews from 11:30 to 12:15 (to attend press conference).

Photographers and TV crews may remain after the press conference for the family photo and round table at the start of the FOROMED meeting.


Since Villa Madama is closed to private vehicles, a shuttle service will be running between the ministry and the villa from 08:15 to the end of the event.


Foreign members of the press who need a visa to enter Italy are kindly asked to apply for one in due time at the authorised Italian embassy or consulate.
