Meeting on “Italian scientists around the world and the growth of the country” (Tuesday 17 April 2012, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sala Conferenze Internazionali).

Minister Terzi and Minister Profumo will open the conference “Italian scientists around the world and the growth of the country” on Tuesday, 17 April at the foreign ministry in Rome. The conference has been organized by the Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Education, Universities and Research.

The conference aims to bring together some of the leading Italians members of the international scientific community, and putting them into contact with decision makers in Italy to discuss the deep links between research and production. In particular, discussions will include how institutions, industry and research can best interact to create new growth opportunities. Ample attention will be given to the creation of networks of Italian scientists abroad, highlighting the factors that can contribute to strengthening the basis for the ever greater inclusion of our scientific achievements into international research systems.
