The Rio+20 United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development will be taking place inRio de Janeiro from 20 to 22 June 2012.
The deadline for media accreditation is 14 May 2012. Applications must be submitted online, following the instructions on this website:

As described on the event website, media representatives interested in attending the Conference should submit their applications to malu@un.org with the following documents:
a scanned letter of assignment (PDF format) on official letterhead of a media organization signed by the Publisher or Editor-in-chief indicating the name and duration of assignment of the journalist(s) who will cover the event a passport-size colour photograph of all listed media representatives. All photographs must be in jpeg format and meet the requirements listed on the site; the online form available on the same site, duly completed.For any other information and for accreditation for other Conference events, please refer to the Conference website.
