On Tuesday 19 June at 19:00 Minister for Foreign Affairs Giulio Terzi is scheduled to speak at Rome’s Palazzo delle Esposizioni at the presentation of a documentary entitled “In the Heart of China”. The event is being organised jointly by the Marche Region, RAI and journalist Duilio Giammaria, with the support of the Marche Region, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Economic Development.
The approximately 1-hour video documentary traces the missionary activities of Marche-born Jesuit priest Matteo Ricci in late 16th century China, and outlines prospects for Italo-Chinese relations in the light of images and prominent persons from contemporary Italy and China.
Minister Terzi’s speech will be preceded by an introduction by President of the Marche Region Gian Mario Spacca and followed by the speeches of Under-Secretary for Economic Development Massimo Vari, Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China Ding Wei and CEO of RAIWORLD Claudio Cappon.
