On Monday 26 November at 17:00 the Diplomatic Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will host a round table on Dag Hammarskjold, the Swedish diplomat who was Secretary General of the United Nations from1953al 1961 and Nobel Prize laureate for his humanitarian work.
Speakers will include Minister for Foreign Affairs, Amb. Giulio Terzi, Ambassdor of the Kingdom of Sweden Ruth Evelyn Jacoby, Susanna Pesenti, author of the book “Dag Hammarskjold. La pace possibile” and Sandro Petrone, journalist with Tg2.
Several documents on who Hammarskjöld was will also be exhibited.
Journalists and camera operators interested in covering the event are asked to apply for accreditation by completing the interactive form available at the link http://mae.accreditationsystem.info/ITA/Indice.asp to which all required documentation can be attached in digital format.
If in exceptional cases it is not possible to complete the online accreditation procedure, applications in writing on company letterhead and signed by the director of the organisation concerned—indicating name, surname, date and place of birth, number of a valid ID document and qualification—should be sent by fax to the Press Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (tel. 063691.3432 fax 06.3691.2122).
Journalists and Photographers will be admitted their own vehicles (license plate number to be included in accreditation request) to the Diplomatic Institute Casale of Villa Madama, via di Villa Madama 250, Rome, between 16:00 and 16:30.
