A reminder that on Friday 30 November 2012, at 15.00, Foreign Minister Giulio Terzi will receive a medal from the National Association of Emigrants’ Families (ANFE) commemorating the organisation’s 65th anniversary. The medal is a “recognition from the association to the diplomatic network, which each day provides assistance to Italian emigrants throughout the world”. The award ceremony, which takes place as part of the conference on “Bread and Prejudice. Migration stories”, will be held in the Sala della Regina, in the Chamber of Deputies.

The event will open with welcoming remarks by the Speaker of the Chamber, the Hon. Gianfranco Fini, the Chairperson of the Committee of Honour for ANFE’s 65th anniversary, Senator Emma Bonino, and the National President of ANFE, Dr. Paolo Genco. These will be followed by speeches by Minister Terzi; the Belgian Premier, Elio Di Rupo; the President of Mentoring USA-Italia, Matilda Raffa Cuomo; and the Spokesperson for Rete G2 Second Generations, Dr. Mohamed Abdalla Tailmoun.

Media representatives interested in following the event should apply for accreditation by sending an email to seg.nazionale@anfe.it and, for information, to accreditamentostampa@esteri.it.
