Please be reminded that on Monday 8 July the conference “Energy and climate: synergies at the service of sustainability” will take place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, organised by the Ministry and the International Energy Agency (IEA), an institution that since 1974 has been the point of reference for multilateral dialogue, monitoring and analysis of energy markets and assessment of national energy policies. The conference will begin at 10:00.
Deputy Foreign Minister Lapo Pistelli will chair the event, at which IEA Executive Director Maria Van der Hoeven, on her first visit to Italy, will make the official presentation of three new Agency publications: a World Energy Outlook 2013 special report entitled “Redrawing the Energy-Climate Map” and two others: the “Medium-Term Renewables Market Report 2013” and the “Medium-Term Gas Market Report 2013”.
Present in addition to representatives from the Upper and Lower Houses of Parliament and the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Economic Development and the Environment, will be top executives of major sector firms and representatives of the main research centres.
Journalists and camera operators interested in covering the event are asked to apply for accreditation by completing the interactive form available at the link http://mae.accreditationsystem.info/ITA/Indice.asp to which all required documentation can be attached in digital format. If in exceptional cases it is not possible to complete the online accreditation procedure, applications in writing on company letterhead and signed by the director of the organisation concerned—indicating name, surname, date and place of birth, number of a valid ID document and qualification—should be sent by fax to the Press Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (tel. 063691.3432 fax 06.3691.2122).
