ACCREDITATION NOTICE Informal meeting of Ministers for Development Cooperation (Florence, 14-15 July 2014)

On 14 and 15 July, within the framework of the Italian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Informal Meeting of Ministers for Development Cooperation will be held at Florence’s “Palazzo Vecchio”. Italian Deputy Foreign Minister Lapo Pistelli will chair the meeting.



At 12:00 on 14 July Deputy Minister Pistelli will make a press presentation of the Italian Presidency’s priorities in the development sector and outline the programme of the Florence meeting.


At 08:30 on 15 July the ceremony for the signing of the European Union Trust Fund for the Central African Republic will be open to the press.


At 09:15 on 15 July the Informal Meeting of Ministers for Development Cooperation will begin. Participants, in addition to the European Union institutions, will include the Development ministers of the 28 Member Countries. Topics of discussion are to include the post-2015 agenda, the link between migration and development, the contribution of EXPO Milano to the European Year of Development 2015, and the role of the private sector.

ONLINE ACCREDITATION



Journalists, photographers and TV crews interested in covering the semester’s meetings can find all pertinent information on the portal of the Italian Presidency www.italia2014.eu, where it will be possible to apply online for accreditation for the events on the programme.


The accreditation process requires initial registration athttp://www.italia2014registration.eu, which consists of filling out a form and uploading a photo (Jpeg format only) and scanned copies of the following documents (JPG or PDF formats only):

Valid passport or ID document; Letter from the media organisation for which you work; Professional ID card (in the absence of which a letter from the media organisation you represent / compulsory for freelancers)

Journalists already registered on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs online system will receive a notice upon their first access that will permit them to recuperate registration data already uploaded.


Members of the media whose documentation is complete and up to date, once registered online, will be able to sign up for the events they wish to cover by accessing their profiles (http://www.italia2014registration.eu) and selecting the events they are interested in.


PRESS ACCREDITATION OFFICE (FLORENCE)



The Press Accreditation Office in Florence, located in the Palazzo Vecchio (Cortile della Dogana), entrance on Via dei Gondi, will be open according to the following schedule:


Monday 14 July from 10:00 to 18:30.


Tuesday 15 July from 07:15 to 14:45.


Accreditation badges will be distributed in person only as follows:

As a result of space limitations, it may be necessary to form pools.
