The Ghana Trade & Investment Forum will take place at the Farnesina on Friday 31 October 2014. The Forum is being organised by the United Nations Organization for Industrial Development (UNIDO), the Italian Investment and Technology Promotion Office (ITPO Italy) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC) in collaboration with the World Trade Centre Accra, Confindustria and ICE, the Italian Trade Agency.
The Forum will be opened by the Secretary General of the MFAIC, Michele Valensise; the Minister for the Environment and Scientific and Technological Innovation of the Republic of Ghana, Akwasi Oppong Fosu; the Director of UNIDO ITPO Italy, Diana Battaggia; the President of ICE, Riccardo Maria Monti; the Ambassador of Ghana in Italy, Evelyn Anita Stokes-Hayford; and the Italian Ambassador to Ghana, Laura Carpini.
The event will focus on investment opportunities in Ghana in the “green economy”, infrastructure and agro-industrial sectors, which will be illustrated by the African delegation. The representatives of the Italian ministries and Italian and international organisations concerned will describe the instruments available to Italian companies to support investment in Ghana. Lastly, the Forum will include an illustration of best practices by Italian companies operating in Ghana.
