“Innovation Report 2014” presentation (Farnesina, 1 December 2014)

A reminder that the “Innovation Report 2014” produced by the COTEC Foundation, an organisation devoted to improving Italy’s technological competitiveness, will be presented at the Farnesina at 15.30 on Monday 1 December 2014.


Attendees include the Director General for Country Promotion, Ambassador Andrea Meloni; the President of the COTEC Foundation and the National Research Council (CNR), Luigi Nicolais; the Directors of the COTEC Foundations of Italy, Spain and Portugal; and representatives of numerous start-ups.


The 2014 Report examines the state of research and innovation in Italy and highlights the results achieved. It also spotlights the strong points and problems found in universities, research bodies and businesses operating at the international level.


Created in 2001 at the initiative of the then President of the Republic Carlo Azeglio Ciampi, the COTEC Foundation – with its Spanish and Portuguese counterparts Fundación Cotec and Associação Cotec – is part of the COTEC-Europe Federation. The 3 member-foundations seek to identify the best public policies to exploit research and related assets, promote technological competitiveness in the 3 countries and strengthen their industrial capacity.

Journalists, photographers and TV crews interested in following the event should:


– complete the interactive form available at http://mae.accreditationsystem.info/ITA/Indice.asp


– attach all required documentation (if not already submitted) to the form, in digital format


Required digital documentation:


– a letter from your media organisation


– for foreign journalists in Italy: a note verbale issued by the Embassy in Rome of your media organisation’s country.


If you are unable to complete the online accreditation procedure, please send your application by email to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation’s Press and Institutional Communication Service, address accreditamentostampa@esteri.it (tel. 06/3691.3432-8573-8210).


Accredited journalists, photographers and TV crews should enter the Ministry by the main entrance (left-hand side) at 14.45.
