Accreditation Notice RECALL – Conference of Cultural Institute Directors (24-25-26 June Perugia and Rome)

A conference of Italian Cultural Institute Directors will take place on 24-25-26 June 2015.

The first day’s sessions, organised in collaboration with the University for Foreigners of Perugia, will begin at 9:30 on Wednesday 24 June in the Aula Magna of Palazzo Galenga, and will be dedicated to the theme “Italian Language and Culture toward the World”. Dean of the University for Foreigners of Perugia Prof. Giovanni Paciullo will open the sessions with a greeting, which will follow those of Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Mario Giro and Mayor of the City of Perugia Andrea Romizi. Other speakers will include: President of the Dante Alighieri Society Andrea Riccardi, writer Dacia Maraini, Director General of the Fondazione Triennale di Milano Andrea Cancellato, Honorary President of the National Academy of Santa Cecilia Bruno Cagli, entrepreneur Brunello Cucinelli and MFAIC Director General for Country Promotion Andrea Meloni.

Journalists, photographers and TV crews interested in covering the sessions of 24 June  are asked to send their personal data, name of their media organ and number of their professional ID card with date of issuance by e-mail, no later than 22 June, to ufficio.stampa@unistrapg.it  (Tel. +39 075.5746.283 – 339 Mobile +39 347.1295043).

 

The second day’s sessions on Thursday 25 June will be held in Rome at the Farnesina’s Sala Conferenze Internazionali, beginning at 9:30, and will focus on the theme “Italian Cultural Institutes and Promotion of Italy’s Contemporary Image”.

Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Paolo Gentiloni will open the meeting with Minister for Education, University and Research Stefania Giannini and Minister for Cultural Treasures and Tourism Dario Franceschini.

The sessions will be introduced by MFAIC Secterary-General Amb. Michele Valensise.

Moderator will be Under-Secretary Giro, and speakers will include: MFAIC Director General for Country Promotion Andrea Meloni, Secretary General of MiBACT Antonia Pasqua Recchia, President of CRUI Stefano Paleari, President of ICE Riccardo Monti, President of the Fondazione Biennale di Venezia Paolo Baratta and Vice President of Confindustria Alessandro Laterza.

Journalists, photographers and TV crews interested in following the 25 June sessions (9:30-11:45) should:

– complete the interactive form available at http://mae.accreditationsystem.info/ITA/Indice.asp

– attach all required documentation (if not already submitted) to the form, in digital format

Required documentation:

– a letter from your media organisation

– for foreign journalists in Italy: a note verbale issued by the Embassy in Rome of your media organisation’s country.

If you are unable to complete the online accreditation procedure, please send your application by fax, on your media organisation’s letterhead, to the Foreign Ministry’s Press and Institutional Communication Service (tel. 06/3691.3432-8573-8210).

Accredited members of the press will be admitted at the rear entrance to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Via Macchia della Farnesina – between 8:30 and 9:15.

The date 26 June, reserved for an encounter between Cultural Institute Directors and Central Administration, will be dedicated to discussion of various administrative concerns.
