Accreditation Notice – Conference: “How much is Italy’s economic diplomacy worth?

The economic impact of the Farnesina’s support to Italian enterprises” On Tuesday 31 January at 10:30 am the headquarters of Confindustria in Rome will host the Conference on “How much is Italy’s economic diplomacy worth? – The economic impact of the Farnesina’s support to Italian enterprises,” which will be attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Angelino Alfano.
“The study we commissioned to Prometeia shows a net positive impact of the support and assistance activities carried out by our diplomacy to the benefit of Italian enterprises. This activity has a positive direct impact on the national economy as a whole,” said Minister Alfano, commenting on the results of the Prometeia survey, which  especially focuses on international tenders awarded to Italian companies, as well as on other contracts won abroad in the 2014-2015 period, which were strongly supported by Italy’s economic diplomacy.
“It is a result,” Mr Alfano pointed out, “that shows the effectiveness of the strong support action carried out by our diplomatic-consular network in favour of our enterprises, with a view to achieving an integrated promotion of Brand Italy in the world.”
“The survey underlines,” Mr Alfano added, “that this action’s positive effects are not limited to companies that have been awarded contracts, be they public or private, but it indirectly embraces the whole national economy, inducing effects that can be quantified through specific multipliers.”
