On Tuesday, 13 June 2017, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., the Farnesina will host the event “Investing in Italy: the regulatory and institutional framework for foreign investments”, co-organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Economic Development and the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces.
The Conference will open with remarks by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Angelino Alfano, who will illustrate the Italian Government’s perspective on the Country’s attractiveness for foreign investments, followed by an address by Valerio De Molli, Managing Partner and CEO, The European House – Ambrosetti, which will focus on the Global Attractiveness Index, a multi-dimension analytical model on the Country’s attractiveness.
The event will continue with contributions by numerous representatives of Institutions and by the representatives of Nuovo Pignone – G.E. Oil & Gas, Linkem and Huawei, three important foreign companies that will testify to why they confided and invested in Italy.
The Conference will be moderated by Vincenzo De Luca, the Foreign Ministry’s Director General for Cultural and Economic Promotion and Innovation.
“In an ever-more global world, foreign investments play a crucial role in economic growth and this is particularly true for Italy, if you consider the strong complementarity that exists between the excellence and technological innovation of Italian companies and foreign industrial and financial resources,” said Minister Alfano in commenting the event.
“The Italian Government – the minister added – is fully aware of the importance of foreign capital for the growth of the Country and attracting investments is one of the Cabinet’s priorities. The event will be the opportunity to present the Government’s strategy to improve the business environment and make our Country more attractive”.
