On Tuesday, 13 February 2018, the Embassy of Italy to the Holy See (Palazzo Borromeo), will celebrate the anniversary of the Lateran Treaty and the Concordat Amending Agreement, in the presence of the highest-ranking officials of the Italian State and of the Holy See.
Bilateral governmental meetings will start at 4:15 p.m.
In the light of the limited capacity of the meeting rooms, it might prove necessary to form a pool of photographers and cameramen in order to participate in the photo moments.
PRESS ACCREDITATION
Journalists, photographers and TV crews interested in following the event are requested to apply for accreditation in one of the following two ways, by and no later than 12 p.m. on Monday, 12 February:
– by filling the interactive form and clicking on the event concerned at the link http://mae.accreditationsystem.info/ITA/Indice.asp, attaching thereto, unless already provided, the documentation requested in digital format (letter from the media organisation and, for representatives of foreign media, also a Note Verbale released by the Rome Embassy of the media organisation’s Country).
– by sending an email to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation’s Institutional Press and Communication Service at the following address: accreditamentostampa@esteri.it (Tel. + 39 06/3691.3432 or 8573 or 8210), attaching thereto the letter of his/her media organisation (or press card for freelance reporters) and, for members of the foreign press, a Note Verbale released by the Rome Embassy of the media organisation’s Country.
LOGISTICS
Accredited journalists, photographers and TV crews are kindly invited to go to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (at the rear entrance on Via della Macchia della Farnesina) for the necessary security control.
A shuttle bus service will run from the Farnesina to Palazzo Borromeo and return.
Journalists, photographers and TV crews, even if previously accredited, who drive their own vehicle to the event without first passing the security control at the Foreign Ministry, will not be allowed access to Palazzo Borromeo.
Accredited journalists, photographers and TV crews are kindly invited to go to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, at the rear entrance on Via della Macchia della Farnesina, on Tuesday, 13 February, starting from 2:00 p.m. and no later than 2:45 p.m. (maximum punctuality is kindly requested).
The shuttle buses taking media representatives back from Palazzo Borromeo to the Foreign Ministry will start departing no later than 6:30 p.m.
An appropriate attire for the occasion is requested.
LIVE BROADCASTS
Inside Palazzo Borromeo, it will only be possible to perform live broadcasts through a TVU backpack and satellite trucks will only be authorized outside the Palazzo (no cables will be allowed inside), after providing the vehicle registration numbers and the names of the technical staff for authorisation to exclusively perform operations outside Palazzo Borromeo, by and no later than 12:00 p.m. on Monday, 12 February (accreditamentostampa@esteri.it).
