On Thursday, 28 June 2018, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the Farnesina will host the presentation of “Fiera Macfrut 2019”.
The event will open with remarks by Massimo Gaiani, Director General for Globalisation and Global Issues of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), which will be followed with remarks by Giuseppe Mistretta, Director for Sub-Saharan Africa, Renzo Piraccini, President of Macfrut, Giorgio Ferrero, Councillor for Agriculture of the Region of Piedmont, Anna Flavia Pascarelli, Director of the Agri-food Department of ICE and Pier Luigi d’Agata, Director General of Assafrica.
The Macfrut Fair, in 2018, had an attendance of more than 43,000 visitors and 1,500 international buyers at the Rimini Expo Center, and is an excellent and consolidated business platform through which to expand relations between Italian and international companies operating in the fruit and vegetable sector, also thanks to exhibition spaces inside the pavilions dedicated to business meetings.
The presentation will illustrate the principal innovations of the next edition of Macfrut, which will be organised in partnership with the Region of Piedmont and will focus on Sub-Saharan Africa.
