On Wednesday, 27 June 2018 starting from 7:30 p.m., the ‘Lanterna di Fuksas’ (Via Tomacelli, 157) in Rome will host the presentation of the actions to promote the image of Italy abroad with the title “Italy. A Country for Travellers – A journey through Italian culture, style and food”.
The event, which will be attended by international tour operators, representatives of foreign media organisations and members of the diplomatic corps, will present the actions to promote the image of Italy abroad launched by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) through its diplomatic and consular network in the following Countries: United States, Canada, Japan, India, People’s Republic of China, South Africa, Brazil, Chile, Argentina and Mexico.
The promotional initiatives form part of the broader #VivereALLItaliana campaign and are organised through the funds allocated under the Protocol of Understanding to promote the image of Italy abroad, signed between the Office of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism and the MAECI.
At the evening – presented by RAI journalist, Giuliana Palmiotta – presentations will be delivered by representatives of the MAECI and of the Ministry of Tourism, the President of ENIT, Evelina Christillin, the Coordinator for Tourism of the Conference of Regions and of Autonomous Provinces, Giovanni Lolli and the Special Commissioner of Alitalia, Luigi Gubitosi.
