Reminder: Today, Thursday 19 September 2019, an aircraft of the Ministry of Defence will arrive at the Ciampino Military Airport in Rome carrying the first group of minors from Benghazi as part of the humanitarian initiative promoted by the Italian Cooperation service to provide health care to Libyan paediatric patients. They will be greeted by the Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Emanuela Del Re and the Undersecretary for Defence, Giulio Calvisi. The patients, who are suffering from serious haematological diseases, will be cared for by the Bambino Gesu’ Children’s Hospital, which has partnered with the Italian cooperation service to conduct the initiative.
Journalists, photographers and TV crews interested in covering the arrival are requested to apply for accreditation by 12 p.m. on 19 September.
