The event will open with remarks by the Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Manlio Di Stefano, the Minister for Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies, Teresa Bellanova and a Board member of the e Agency for the promotion abroad and internationalisation of Italian companies (ICE) and President of Filiera Italia, Luigi Pio Scordamaglia.
The opening remarks will be followed by the screening of the video “Il Modello Mediterraneo per uno stile di vita salutare” (“The Mediterranean Model for a Healthy Lifestyle”).
The speakers scheduled to speak at the first session, “Food education: research, training and communication” are: Gabriella Morini, Researcher on the Science of Taste and Food, at the Università degli studi di Scienze Gastronomiche in Pollenzo, Luca Piretta, Nutritionist and Gastroenterologist, Professor at the Biomedical Campus in Rome, Carla Rinaldi, President of the Fondazione Reggio Children – Internazionale Centro Loris Malaguzzi and Alessandro Circiello, Federation of Italian Chefs.
The session will be followed by the screening of the video “Le Colline del Prosecco di Conegliano e Valdobbiadene Patrimonio UNESCO”.
The speakers scheduled to speak at the second session “The Culture of Taste, promoting local productions and Italian points of excellence” are: Innocente Nardi, President of the Consorzio di Tutela del Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG, Ernesto Abbona, President of Unione Italiana Vini and Pino Cuttaia, Chef at the La Madia Restaurant.
The event will be moderated by Vincenzo de Luca, the Foreign Ministry’s Director General for Cultural and Economic Promotion and Innovation.
Rocco Pozzullo, President of the Federation of Italian Chefs, will subsequently present a cooking-show, drawing inspiration from writings by Leonardo da Vinci.
