PRESS ACCREDITATION NOTE
XIV Conference Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) – Bank of Italy
With Delegates and Financial Attachés accredited abroad
On Wednesday 8 March the Farnesina will host the XIV edition of the annual Conference Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) – Bank of Italy entitled “La transizione necessaria: il futuro dell’energia, tra geopolitica e crescita sostenibile” (The necessary transition: the future of energy, between geopolitics and sustainable growth), with the participation of the Delegates and the Financial Attachés of the Embassies and Diplomatic Missions accredited abroad.
The Conference shall begin at 9:30 a.m. with the institutional greetings of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, and of the Governor of the Bank of Italy, Ignazio Visco. The Conference shall continue “behind closed doors” with two working sessions and the conclusions, which shall be entrusted to Luigi Federico Signorini, Senior Deputy Governor of the Bank of Italy, and to Riccardo Guariglia, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
Besides executives from the two institutions, the audience of participants shall include representatives of other administrations and components of the Country Economic System, including MEF, CDP, SACE, SIMEST, ABI, Confindustria, representatives of major energy companies and banking institutions, and Italian think tanks.
There will be no live streaming of the event.
Only the opening session with the institutional greetings will be open to the press. Journalists, photographers and cameramen interested in covering the event may apply for accreditation by sending their request by Tuesday 7 March at 5:00 p.m. to the following e-mail address accreditamentostampa@esteri.it (tel. 06 3691 3432 – 8573 or 3078), attaching the following:
For representatives of the Italian press:
- copy of an identity document;
- letter of assignment from the newspaper of affiliation or – in the absence of the latter – copy of professional identity card.
For representatives of foreign press organisations, not accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
- copy of an identity document;
- letter from the newspaper of affiliation;
- Verbal note of the Embassy in Rome of the country of the press organisation represented.
Foreign press representatives already accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs should send a request for accreditation with a copy of an identity document attached.
Accredited journalists, photographers and cameramen may enter the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the main entrance, left side, from 8:45 a.m. until 9:15 a.m.
Submitting the above-mentioned personal data means authorising the use thereof in accordance with Italian Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2003 and the GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679) by the Directorate General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the data controller, for strictly professional purposes and/or purposes related to the performance of the event in question.
