PRESS ACCREDITATION NOTE
Meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Italy, Albania, Bulgaria and North Macedonia
Brindisi – 27 July 2023
On Thursday 27 July, the Meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy, Albania, Bulgaria and North Macedonia will take place in Brindisi, at the Federiciano Castle. The meeting is part of an initiative aimed at strengthening the coordination between the countries crossed by the Pan-European Corridor VIII, a strategic infrastructure between the Adriatic Sea and the Black Sea, and is an ideal platform for strengthening political dialogue and economic cooperation between the countries of the region. The plenary session will mainly focus on integration and cooperation, covering topics such as connectivity, infrastructure, economic growth and dialogue with civil society.
The meeting will be attended by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy, Antonio Tajani, the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania, Olta Xhaçka, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria, Mariya Gabriel, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia, Bujar Osmani.
The proceedings, which will take place inside the castle starting at 11.30 a.m., will be preceded at 11.15 a.m. by a photo opportunity. At the end of the proceedings, at approximately 12.50 p.m., a joint press conference of the Ministers is scheduled to be held at the Italian Navy Officers’ Club located next to the Federiciano Castle.
Journalists, photographers and cameramen interested in covering the joint press conference in person and photographers and cameramen interested in covering the event’s photo opportunities (reception and photo op) may apply for accreditation by sending a request no later than Wednesday 26 July, 12 noon, to the following e-mail address accreditamentostampa@esteri.it (tel. 06 3691 3432 –3078, 8210 or 8573).
After this deadline, only substitutions will be permitted.
The following must be attached to the request:
For representatives of Italian press organisations:
- copy of an identity document;
- copy of professional identity card;
For representatives of foreign press organisations, not accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
- copy of an identity document;
- letter from the newspaper of affiliation;
- Verbal note of the Embassy in Rome of the country of the press organisation represented.
For representatives of foreign press already accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the request must be sent with a copy of an identity document attached.
Press badges must be collected in person, presenting a valid identity document, at the press accreditation desk set up inside the Italian Navy Officer’s Club (Circolo Ufficiali della Marina Militare – Via dei Mille, 4, Brindisi) from 9.30 am to 10.45 am.
In the case of requests for the positioning of satellite vehicles, the number plates and model of such vehicles must be communicated by e-mail to accreditamentostampa@esteri.it (tel. 06/3691.3432-8573-8210) no later than Tuesday 25 July. The vehicles will be parked from the morning of Thursday 27 July.
