ACCREDITATION NOTE – STATES GENERAL OF DIPLOMACY

17th CONFERENCE OF ITALIAN AMBASSADORS
MILAN 18-19 DECEMBER 2024

On Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 December 2024, as part of the 17th Conference of Italian Ambassadors to the World, the second edition of the National Conference on Export and Business Internationalisation and two working sessions organised in collaboration with Borsa Italiana and Triennale Milano will take place in Milan.

The events will be open to the press in attendance and can be followed live via the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs YouTube channel.

On Wednesday 18 December, the second edition of the National Conference on Export and Business Internationalisation will take place at Bocconi University (Main Hall) in Milan, from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The initiative is an opportunity for an all-round exchange and debate with representatives of businesses, trade associations, and public export support agencies on strategies to strengthen the presence of the Italian economic system on the international scene in an ever-changing global context.

The conference will be opened by the Rector of Bocconi University, Francesco Billari, the Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, the President of Confindustria, Emanuele Orsini, the President of ABI, Antonio Patuelli, and Brunello Cucinelli, Executive Chairman and Founder of the company of the same name.

Numerous representatives of trade associations, as well as qualified representatives of the manufacturing world, are expected to attend the various sessions that will comprise the day’s programme.

Subject to press accreditation, journalists and camera operators may report to Bocconi University, Main Hall, entrance in via Guglielmo Rontgen 1 (Milan) from 10:45 to 11:15 a.m.

On Thursday 19 December 2024, the event entitled ‘Finance and Diplomacy at the Service of the Growth of the Italian System: What Message to Convey Abroad to Promote the Italian Financial Market,’ organised in collaboration with Borsa Italiana, will take place at the Palazzo Mezzanotte headquarters of Borsa Italiana in Milan from 9:00 to 10:15 a.m., as an opportunity for Ambassadors to exchange views with the leading players in the Milan financial marketplace.

The event will be opened by the Chief Executive Officer of Borsa Italiana, Fabrizio Testa, and the Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani.

Subject to press accreditation, journalists and camera operators may report to Borsa Italiana (Palazzo Mezzanotte), entrance in Via Piazza degli Affari 6 (Milan), from 8:15 to 8:45 a.m.

On Thursday 19 December, from 12 to 1:30 p.m., the event “Dialogues on Cultural Diplomacy at Triennale Milano” will be held at the Triennale venue in Milan, as organised in collaboration with Triennale Milano as an opportunity for Ambassadors to exchange views on the economy of culture. Some of Italy’s leading experts on the subject will be involved in the event.

The event will be opened by the President of Triennale Milano, Stefano Boeri, and the Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, followed by the presentation of the 2025 Triennale programme and a debate on the value of culture.

Subject to press accreditation, journalists and camera operators may report to Triennale Milano, entrance in Viale Emilio Alemagna 6, from 11:15 to 11:45 a.m.

 

SINGLE ACCREDITATION PROCEDURE FOR THE THREE EVENTS

Journalists, photographers and cameramen interested are kindly requested to register no later than 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, 17 December, via email to accreditamentostampa@esteri.it  (tel. 06/3691-3432-8573-3078), following the instructions below and indicating the event(s) of interest:

For representatives of Italian press organisations:

  • copy of an identity document;
  • letter of assignment from the newspaper of affiliation or – in the absence of the latter – copy of professional identity card.

For representatives of foreign press organisations, not accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs:

  • copy of an identity document;
  • letter from the newspaper of affiliation;
  • Verbal note of the Embassy in Rome of the country of the press organisation represented.

For representatives of foreign press already accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the request must be sent with a copy of an identity document attached.

Live television broadcasts may only be carried out with the use of backpacks.
