Thailand – “Italian Interiors” by Massimo Listri

As part of the Italian Festival in Thailand 2017, the Italian Embassy in Bangkok organised the exhibition “Interni Italiani” (“Italian Interiors”) by the well-known Italian photographer Massimo Listri at the prestigious River City Bangkok Gallery. Massimo Listri portrays the interiors of Italian architectures, which are considered to be among the most beautiful in the world, through careful and masterful shots from the perspective of an archaeologist and architect.

His style is extremely delicate and the space portrayed in his pictures is clear and surprisingly elegant. His passion for collecting antique objects and for interior decoration, together with his interest for art history, have influenced his stylistic profile. The exhibition puts together 30 of Listri’s best pieces, with large-sized works of great visual impact. His photographs feature the naturalness-seriality duality characterising his subjects. Places like the Royal Palace of Naples, the Vatican Museums or the Historical Library of Fermo are only some of the subjects of Listri’s work that visitors will be able to appreciate. Listri has exhibited his work in some of the most important museums in the world, and also at the Quirinale Palace. The exhibition, which was opened by Italian Ambassador Saverio Nisio at the presence of the photographer on 24 November, will run until 7 January 2018.
