Pianist Nicola Losito to perform in Istanbul

The Sala Teatro Casa d’Italia  of the Italian Cultural Institute in Istanbul will host a concert of the pianist Nicola Losito, who has performed extensively in Italy as well as in Austria, Belgium, Croatia, France, Germany, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain and the United States.

As a soloist, Losito has played with Solisti Aquilani, the Orchestra Filarmonica Marchigiana, the Serbian National Theatre Symphonic Orchestra, the Orchestra Filarmonica Italiana, the Klagenfurt Landeskonservatorium Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra Filarmonica della Calabria, and the Ignacy Jan Paderewski State Philarmonic Orchestra. 

He has won numerous awards in national and international competitions, including the 28th Muzio Clementi Piano Competition, which took place in Florence, the 6th Isidor Bajic Piano Memorial Competition, which was held in Novi Sad (Serbia), and the Jeunesses International Piano Competition “Dinu Lipatti”, which occurred in Bucharest. 

Losito has also received acknowledgements at the Premio pianistico Internazionale “Silvio Bengalli” held in Pianello Val Tidone and the Osimo International Piano Competition. 

He is currently specialising at the Accademia Pianistica Internazionale “Incontri col Maestro” in Imola  with Leonid Margarius and at the Conservatorio “G. Tartini” in Trieste with Massimo Gon.  

Losito has also recorded for Amadeus and the Movimento Classical labels. Since 2017, he has been the art director at Udine’s Associazione Mozart Italia.
