Forms of Eternity: Italian Haute Couture in Munich

The Consulate General of Italy in Munich and the Italian Cultural Institute, together with the Glyptothek Munich, have organized an exhibition of one of the greatest contemporary Italian sculptors, Fabio Viale. A special pre-inauguration event  was held for selected guests and journalists which included a fashion and art show displaying works of excellence.

Models presenting Elena Berton’s haute couture dresses and Walter de Silva gorgeous shoes for women  posed among the precious marbles of the Greek and Roman era.

The aim of the show was also to draw media attention to the ethical and cultural significance of high-quality Italian products, a fundamental means to ensure the preservation of traditional manufacturing and train young people for their jobs. The synergy between fashion and the visual arts created an event with a completely new and special formula, force and meaning.
