Two Italian dance companies will participate this year in the Belgrade Dance Festival which will be held in Belgrade and Novi Sad from March 13 to April 12. The Italian Ambassador Carlo Lo Cascio illustrated the Italian participation in the Festival, which takes place with the support of the Italian Institute of Culture in Belgrade, during a press conference with colleagues from the other 13 participating countries.
Ambassador Lo Cascio, presenting the two Italian companies, underlined: “Our participation in the Belgrade Dance Festival demonstrates, once again, the close connection between Italy and Serbia in the field of art and culture as well as in many other sectors”.
The company of Alessandro Sciarroni, performance artist and one of the youngest choreographers to have received the Golden Lion (Leone d’Oro) at the Venice Biennale of Dance (2019), will stage the show “Augusto”, scheduled for Sunday, April 5 at 8 pm at the theatre “Atelje 212” in Belgrade.
On April 9 at the same theatre, Silvia Gribaudi’s company, winner of numerous awards, will perform the show “Grazie”.
