Lisbon: Air of Italy, Italian culture in a podcast

A conversation with jazz musician Massimo Cavalli will kick off on Thursday, April 30 with a new project by the Italian Cultural Institute of Lisbon. Aria d’Italia’ is a weekly podcast of 30 minutes in which the journalist Marcello Sacco presents Italian artists, writers and intellectuals to the Portuguese public and beyond.

The idea came from the director of the Institute of Culture Luisa Violo to try to overcome the physical distance and reopen the doors, albeit virtually, of the Institute.

The guests involved in the conversations will talk about their work and their projects in the most varied fields of activity and research. They will compose a clearer picture of the world in which we lived and the one in which we will live.

The episodes, also availing the technical collaboration of Francesco Tomei, will be broadcast weekly through the website of the IIC of Lisbon and its social accounts and will be divided into interviews, music, film clips and many other suggestions inspired by the guest and the theme of the episode. The second meeting, on-air on Thursday, May 7, will have as protagonist the poet Valerio Magrelli.
