Embassy in Seoul: travel grants for young researchers

Financial and logistical support to allow young Italian researchers to visit research centres in South Korea, one of the countries investing the most in the world in terms of innovation, science and technology.

This is the initiative of the Italian Embassy in Seoul to help researchers under 35 years to establish new collaborative relationships between Italian and Korean laboratories: the Asian country’s spending on research is around 4.5% of the GDP, the top position in the OECD area together with Israel.

Four travel grants have been funded for 2020, which will allow visits lasting up to seven days. Applicants, who are required to hold a PhD, must submit their application by 30 June 2020.
