The Italian Cultural Institute in Brussels presents the exhibition Celebrating Diversity by the artist Carla Chiusano, which will be held from 8thto 24thSeptember in the Institutespaces.Carla Chiusano was born in 1964 in Turin and has spent many years in London, Rio de Janeiro, Rome and Geneva. She currently resides and works in Milan. She began painting in 2007, privileging abstractionism and then discovered animal expressiveness. She mainly uses oil painting, the technique she prefers to work, in infinite variations, on chromatic strategies. Among her latest works: the solo exhibitionHigh Society, curated by Luca Beatrice, at the Zabert Gallery in Turin and, later, at the Mandarin Oriental in Turin; Winter, also curated by Luca Beatrice, at the Andrea Ingenito Gallery in Milan and at the Spirale space in Milan.
The director Mimmo Calopresti has dedicated to her the docu-film Conversazioni sull’arte di Carla(Conversations on art by Carla). 2020 is the year of a new book with Mondadori: Carla Chiusano. Dipingere con il cuore ed il sorriso(Carla Chiusano. Painting with heart and smile).
