Batumi is one leg of the Genoa International Music Youth Festival

Three talented Italian musicians will star in the Genoa International Music Youth Festival, the prestigious international musical event that has reached Georgia, in the renowned tourist destination, Batumi.

They are tenor Alessandro Goldoni, winner of numerous Italian and international competitions, who has performed at famous theatres from Japan to Switzerland, the United States to China. Then there is soprano Claudia Sasso, who has performed on some of the most prestigious stages in the world. Lorenzo Tazzieri, Principal Director of the Tokyo Metropolitan Opera Foundation and Artistic Director of various music festivals, such as the Genoa International Music Youth Festival, Batumi International Music Festival, and the Chile Opera Festival, will be on the orchestra podium.

The Genoa International Music Youth Festival is an international festival specifically for youth, designed to make them more aware of classical music. Its main aim is to create cultural ties and disseminate a new way of managing culture, based on cooperation and entrepreneurship, facilitating cultural exchanges in which the youth take ever more a leading role.

The concert in Georgia is organized by the Batumi Music Centre, with the support of the Italian Embassy to Georgia. The recording of the concert – which could not be held before a live audience due to COVID restrictions in Georgia – will be broadcast on Adjara TV. It will include the most beautiful pieces from evergreen operas by Verdi, Mascagni, Puccini and Giordano.
