Le Agane at the Imago Sloveniae Festival

The Le Agane ensemble will be performing at the Imago Sloveniae Festival. Founded under the guidance of the renowned musician Luisa Sello, who is also a teacher at the Trieste Conservatory, Le Agane gives life to sounds that range from the Renaissance to other contemporary pieces including some that were specially written for this original group of musicians, which consists entirely of flautists from Italy, Slovenia, Austria, Serbia, and Montenegro. Their repertoire also includes pieces by composers from Friuli Venezia Giulia, both of the past and from the present day, and is sometimes interspersed with poetry readings and stories.

Le Agane have already performed successfully in Italy and at international festivals in other countries (including Beijing, Qingdao, and Vienna). The musicians on stage (Luisa Sello, Veronica Bortot, Sara Brumat, Marina De Palma, Ksenija Franeta, Birgit Karoh, Tijana Krulj, Ilaria Prelaz, and Anita Prelovšek) will be playing the whole family of transverse flutes, from the piccolo, the C flute and the G flute, to the bass flute, creating an authentic ‘orchestral group’  that has the ability to perform even the most complex pieces.

The concert, which will take place on 24 August in the courtyard of the Civic Museum of Ljubljana, is organised with the collaboration of the Italian Cultural Institute.
