Italy and Brazil discussed hydrogen as clean energy. On 22 September the Brazil-Italy symposium of the International Conference on Hydrogen Production was opened by Francesco Azzarello, the Ambassador of Italy in Brasilia. The event was organized by CNR-ITAE and ITM.
The participants included Paulo Emílio Valadão de Miranda, President of the Brazilian Hydrogen Association, and Giovani Vitória Machado, Director of the Energy Research Society.
Together with sectoral companies from both countries, during the event particular attention was paid to the employment opportunities that hydrogen technologies offer.
The symposium is part of the Sustainable Development Festival running from 28 September until 14 October 2021, organised in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, which will examine also topics common to the United Nations Pre-COP26 conference organised by Italy in Milan (30 September – 2 October) on climate change and the transition to sustainable development.
