The third edition of The Italian TV Festival, held in person in Little Italy – San Pedro, NeueHouse – Hollywood and Terra – Eataly Los Angeles, wrapped up in Los Angeles with an award ceremony of Tiziano Ferro, Valeria Golino and Joe Bastianich. The goal of the event, conceived, organised and produced by Good Girls Planet of Valentina Martelli (CEO), Cristina Scognamillo and Francesca Scorcucchi, in collaboration with Marco Testa Los Angeles, was to promote All Things Italian and celebrate Italian audiovisual productions by creating a link with the American Industry, thanks to the partnership with ENIT Agenzia Nazionale del Turismo, the Italian Consulate in Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Italian Cultural Institute. The three artists were awarded the sculpture “Hand…the winner is” by Fidia Falaschetti. Valeria Golino received the ITTV Award in Naples, where the actress and director is currently filming a new series, while the histrionic Joe Bastianich, after receiving the sculpture, entertained the guests with a surprise musical performance. In the square of Little Italy, in San Pedro, for the Festival’s focus on content for families by Rai Ragazzi, Rainbow and Ilbe Group, there was a parade of the Pinocchio mascot for the international premiere of “Pinocchio and Friends” created by Iginio Straffi, and the short animation film “Mila” by Cinzia Angelini was presented, running to qualify for the Oscars. Many personalities attended the Festival, as well as many executives and professionals from the audiovisual world, the Consul Silvia Chiave, the director Cinzia Angelini, Joe Buscaino, the vice president of Little Italy Gino Gaudio, Elisabetta Canalis, Marta Pozzan, Nina Seničar, Elisa Sednaoui, the musician Diane Warren and the Oscar winner Nick Vallelonga. “We had a great response and great interest from the American executives for the Rai Fiction, Sky and Fremantle contents that we presented, some in preview, during the Industry Day – said Valentina Martelli CEO of GGP – and in the forthcoming days we will make sure that these first contacts develop into some important partnerships”. “We are delighted to have renewed our collaboration with ITTV,” said Maria Pia Ammirati, Director of Rai Fiction, “which in just a few years has become an important industry event, as well as an unmissable opportunity for television operators to meet and exchange ideas.”
