Italian Cuisine Week in Poland: seminars, tutorials and tastings

Polonia
Settimana Cucina: in Polonia seminari, tutorial e assaggi

The Italian Embassy in Poland has presented an exciting program of initiatives to be held throughout that country on the occasion of the 6th edition of the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World. There will be lectures, seminars, practical courses and tastings, open to the public or to experts in the sector, held in collaboration with the Italian Institutes of Culture in Warsaw and Krakow, with the ICE office and the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Poland.

In announcing the program, the Italian Ambassador, Aldo Amati, said that the initiatives of the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World will continue beyond the scheduled timing (November 22-28) “as the promotion of Italian food excellence and, with it, of our land, our traditions and our skills is by nature a permanent and ongoing commitment. ‘’Through the many examples of gourmet dishes, the relationship between food and design, the information about Italian products and places – he added – we hope to offer large numbers of ‘insiders’ (professional chefs, students of cooking, food bloggers and connoisseurs) an effective picture, as modern and all-inclusive as possible, of Italian cuisine today. It is a sector that, at this point, goes far beyond the mere appearance of the food, and is increasingly linked to culture and economics but also to science and art.”

Among the other events on the program, on November 30, Chef Eugenio Boer will teach a class online for the students of the “Professor Eugeniusz Pijanowsky Complex of Restaurateur Schools”. Anuelo Serra, who represents the Italian Federation of Cooks in Poland will hold a series of itinerant seminars on ‘’How to prepare an Italian meal: seasonality of the ingredients, love of the land and the Mediterranean Diet at the center of the menu. On November 23, Chef Rosanna Di Michele will take her audience on a tour through the food and wine excellences of the Abruzzo region. The program of events also includes a video recipe presented by two food-bloggers, Tomasz Strzelczyk and Matteo Brunetti. Concluding with the presentation of the guide “ITALY – Guide to the wines, regions, specialties. From Piedmont to Sicily”, which promotes tourism in Italy through the regions that produce its wines, rich in the culture of fine food and spectacular scenery.
