The Italian Hospital in Venezuela was opened in Caracas at the Clinica Santa Paola. The ceremony was attended by Placido Vigo, Charge d’affaires in Venezuela, Nicola Occhipinti, the Consul General in Caracas, Vincenzo Di Martino, the Chairperson of the Board of Governors of the new facility and the heads of institutions representing the Italian community.
Promoted by the Italian institutions in Venezuela, with the cooperation of the European Institute of Oncology in Milan, the Italian Red Cross and the Cancer- Prevention Association of Venezuela, the Italian community has fulfilled its wish to create this project which will be able to help those who are less well-off and contribute to the national health system of Venezuela.
