The Italian Embassy and the Italian Cultural Institute in Kyiv opened the 2022 cultural season with the concert “Un amore così grande,” organized by the National Philharmonic of Ukraine. While announcing the programme of events, the Italian Ambassador in Kyiv, Pier Francesco Zazo, said: “this year, we want to focus once again on Culture, as we believe it is a fundamental element of our presence here, as well as an incredibly effective instrument to further strengthen the bilateral relations between Italy and Ukraine.”
Tenor Massimiliano Pisapia and Ukrainian soprano Olha Chubareva performed at ‘’Un amore così grande’’, accompanied by the Symphony Orchestra of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine, directed by conductor Mykola Diadiur. They performed Opera arias by Verdi, Rossini, Bellini, Puccini and some European authors, as well as the most famous contemporary operatic compositions. Ambassador Zazo said he hoped to be able to continue welcoming many Italian artists in the country and promote an exchange of experiences with their Ukrainian counterparts not only in the field of music but also in visual arts, dance, and design.
